Shadows in the snow - taken about an hour ago
We have a few inches of snow on the ground and I love it! Better that than no snow at all. The sun is shining in all its brilliance today and its quite amazing how it makes the heart sing when it comes out. It is quite cold though. Right now at 3 in the afternoon it is -7C with a windchill of -15C so quite bitter out there as I walked around the yard taking some photos.
Road webcam not too far away shows outdoor conditions. (Click on the word webcam in the previous sentence)
Still working on Quaker Diamonds and have put quite a dent into completing it. I have also started the Mary Wigham Sampler SAL (stitchalong) in the Sampler World Facebook group. I am doing it on 22 count hardanger fabric using one thread over one. I am liking it very much. When I get a bit more done, I will post a photo.
I am also trying to get the quilt/sewing/needle felting room in order. WOW! What alot of stuff I have!!
Our stitching guild meets again tonight for the first time since our potluck early December! It will be nice to see everyone again...
Projects worked on? Well, I am trying to finish up WIP's, works in process. I have alot of them! I love starting them, hate finishing them and it appears there are quite a few of us like that! lol... But, I want to do an experimental little wall hanging to try something out. I take one of my photos, manipulate it in Photoshop Elements, and then go through a number of procedures to finally get an art quilt. The instructions are actually in June/July 2011 Issue 51, Quilting Arts magazine (my favourite!).
I have a bit more cleaning to do and then I will get started. (the dog is also very sick so when she is better, I can relax and get back into some fun)
Will end off with a photo taken in the spruce trees in the back yard a short time ago.
Talk to you later!
